Hailed by Afropunk as "definitely one to watch", Aria Lanelle is a honey-voiced singer, songwriter, and producer. Musical from an early age, Aria Lanelle started out writing lyrics as a shy young child and then taught herself to play simple chords. After finding her voice, she quickly developed into a striking performer as well, stretching her vocal wings at the Boston Children's Chorus and the MMEA Northeastern Senior Districts Choir. She was then accepted to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music with a North American Tour Scholarship and graduated with high honors. After winning the R&B division of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, lent her dulcet voice to the Zimmer X Pallace Saturday Love remix in the UK which currently sits at 1.8 million plays on YouTube alone. Aria then released her EP My Name Is in the summer of 2016, which was then featured in Okayplayer, Afropunk, and Earmilk (to name a few star media outlets). Most recently, Aria has released her single Cuffing Season, a mouthwatering sample of her new musical direction.
